The collision sheared off the entire right wing of the F-15. Incredibly, Nedivi, with the help of his instructor Yehoar Gal, managed to not only regain control of the aircraft but also successfully land it. This was possible due to the F-15's wide body and powerful engines, allowing it to essentially glide like a rocket. The aircraft, remarkably, was later repaired and returned to service, demonstrating the exceptional durability and capability of the F-15 Eagle.
